MY STORY

I'm honored to share how Craniosacral Therapy and Health Coaching found me.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy literally found me over fifteen years ago. I was living with chronic pain and swelling in my left leg. I tried regular chiropractic care and consulted an orthopedic specialist who recommended surgery to break "both" kneecaps, re-center and screw them down! Thankfully, my chiropractor suggested something different, called craniosacral therapy, a non-invasive and gentle therapy. During the first session, I couldn't tell anything was happening and the therapist looked as if he was watching paint dry. I went back for three more sessions. Remarkably, within a month, I was walking without pain or swelling! The therapist kept telling me that my body was able to reorganize itself around some old injuries. I didn't understand what he was trying to tell me, I just knew I was a believer in how I felt and I was hooked! I continue receiving craniosacral therapy on a regular basis.

Receiving craniosacral therapy has been a journey of unraveling injuries, chronic pain and traumatic experiences, while strengthening my body’s vitality, resources and sense of well being.

Through my experience with craniosacral therapy, it has become clear that my body had been compensating for multiple traumatic injuries. As I'd been aging, my body couldn't seem to hold things together without chronic pain and limitations. I also learned how my body was affected by my nervous system that held sensory information from every time I was injured, terrified or felt unsafe, which was a regular occurrence for me, beginning at age two. My nervous system kept track of all the emotional affects as well as the physical affects. Receiving craniosacral therapy has been a journey of unraveling injuries, chronic pain and traumatic experiences, while strengthening my body's vitality, resources and sense of well being. Now I am able to grow older without the stored stress and adverse impacts from my earlier experiences. Because of craniosacral therapy, I have been able to regain and maintain walking without pain and swelling and I’ve enjoyed years of playing USTA ranked competitive tennis. In 2016, I enrolled in professional studies to become a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. I've been blessed in sharing this healing wisdom with many wonderful people in Longmont, Colorado and now in Palm Coast, Florida. I'm encouraged and hopeful to be a support for you and your body's ability to unravel imbalances and restore vitality, so you can discover the healing wisdom inside you.

Today, after expanding my skills and experience, I’m offering intuitive bodywork that combines biodynamic craniosacral therapy, neuro-facial therapy and acupressure. I continue to be amazed by the abiding health that is the healing wisdom inside each of us.

I fully expected to have the surgery, however, my journey took an unexpected turn down a completely foreign path.

Health Coaching became the best way for me to share my experience and the knowledge I gained from dealing with cancer. In 1999, I was diagnosed with stage four cervical cancer. The doctor told me I would die in a month if I didn't have a full hysterectomy. I fully expected to have the surgery, however, my journey took an unexpected turn down a foreign path. I spent the following three years learning about the power of nutrition and seeking holistic and alternative therapy's under the direction of a well respected physician. After three years, my body had been able to shrink the golf ball size mass of cancer cells, down to the size of a pin head. The doctor removed the remaining cancer cells via a L.E.E.P. and I was told I'd be able to carry a child to full term; a completely different outcome from what I was told three years earlier!

Following my success, I became more interested in knowing why I had become ill in the first place. I learned more about nutrition, and the negative effects of environmental toxins and stress. I began to see the connection between a long list of physical, emotional and mental traumatic events, and the cancer. In 2006, the connection between my traumatic experiences and the cancer became clear. I had been accumulating stress as early as two years old when I had fallen over the edge of a basement stairway that didn't have a railing, landing on a concrete floor. I endured a broken femur, multiple hairline fractures, brain stem damage and multiple blows to my head. The damage to my thoughts and emotions would prove to be even more debilitating. My two year old mind learned that the world and people were not safe. This fall was the first of many traumatic experiences that followed. My body and nervous system was taking notes and storing energy from all these experiences that built up over many years. These experiences were the major source of stress, along with a history of malnutrition and living in a continual state of fear. The mind, body and emotions all played a part in allowing the cancer to manifest in me.

I’ve overcome adversity, making it through cancer and chronic pain and I no longer struggle with health and well being.

No one wants to experience sickness, pain and trauma. I can honestly say my journey toward wellness has sculpted me into a person with confidence. I've overcome adversity, making it through cancer and chronic pain and I no longer struggle with health and well being. I've spent many years growing my knowledge and understanding of how things work while gathering valuable tools and techniques. One of my favorite techniques releases stored stress from the body by moving an acupressure device along both sides of the neck and spine. I still practice this today!

I became a certified Health Coach so I can help others in their healing journey. I know with confidence, that my body, mind and emotions have everything needed to overcome disease and dwell in health, and I want to help you discover this healing wisdom that lives inside you.
